After a decade of actively seeking answers for her significant struggles and health issues, it was SHE who broke her chains of terror and silence in 2016 to reclaim her voice and her power. She is surviving. We are surviving. But so many still suffer in silence. Looking back over all of our efforts the past years, we knew that there needed to be some significant and sweeping change in not only identifying trauma and providing trauma sensitive care, but also in educating the public, increasing focused outreach efforts, and implementing effective victim advocacy to begin to serve survivors in the comprehensive way they deserve.
